Understanding the Magic Group (MG): Its Role and Significance
The MAGIC Group (MG)

This writer aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the various classifications of ranks within the organization. Since these subjects were not elaborated in any of the PGBI Constitution and By-Laws or in any reference books, the goal is to offer a detailed explanation of each level. This will help readers understand the specific roles, responsibilities, and significance associated with their positions. Whether new members or seasoned personnel, this guide is designed to clarify who they are in the organizational hierarchy and how their roles contribute to the overall functioning of the organization.
The MAGIC Group (MG) is an organization composed primarily of civilian members who possess a minimum educational attainment of high school or have specialized skills and technical know-how. These members are individuals who demonstrate a willingness to serve and contribute their time, talents, and expertise for the betterment of the organization. The MG serves as a vital auxiliary body that supports the core functions of the organization through dedicated service and community involvement.
Members with the rank of MAGIC Group (MG) are akin to the leaves of a mighty tree, serving as its protectors and vital supporters. Just as leaves shield the tree from the intense heat of the sunlight, MG members stand as guardians of the organization’s integrity and well-being. They provide a calming presence, ensuring that the organization remains resilient amid challenges and difficulties.
Through their dedication, skills, and community involvement, they help safeguard the core values and initiatives of the organization, preventing burnout and maintaining harmony. Their role as protectors is essential for the organization’s health and growth, much like how leaves shield the tree, enabling it to thrive and flourish despite the harsh environment. Leaves are numerous and spread across the branches, capturing sunlight to produce energy through photosynthesis, which sustains the tree and enables it to flourish.
Similarly, the MG consists of dedicated members who contribute their skills, talents, and community service to bolster the organization’s mission. Just as leaves serve as the tree’s interface with the environment, allowing it to gather essential resources, the MG acts as the active and outward-facing component that energizes and sustains the organization. Both are essential parts that, through their collective efforts, ensure the vitality, resilience, and continued growth of the whole system.
There are classifications of leaves when it comes to maturity, color, shape, and size, which represent their true commitment, their maturity toward the organization, and their loyalty as reflected in the color, shape, and size of their faith. These classifications serve as symbolic indicators of a member’s level of dedication, experience, and trustworthiness within the organization. Just as the condition of leaves can reveal the health and vitality of a tree, these classifications help assess the strength and loyalty of members, guiding their development and role within the organization.
The word “MAGIC” is an acronym that encapsulates the ideal qualities and values expected of its members:
- M (Moderate): Members exhibit balanced judgment, humility, and temperance in their actions and decisions.
- A (Advocator): They are proactive in championing the organization’s principles and advocating for its causes.
- G (Gentleman): Members uphold respectful, courteous, and noble conduct in all their dealings.
- I (Ingenuous): They are honest, sincere, and transparent in their intentions and actions.
- C (Competent): Members possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise to effectively serve and contribute.
The MAGIC Group (MG) can be likened to the leaves of a tree, as both play a vital role in supporting the overall health and growth of their respective systems. Leaves are numerous and spread across the branches, capturing sunlight to produce energy through photosynthesis, which sustains the tree and enables it to flourish.
Both are essential parts that, through their collective efforts, ensure the vitality, resilience, and continued growth of the whole system. Leaves can be classified based on their status into different types such as healthy, senescent, or damaged, which reflects their condition and role at a given time, similar to how members in the MG can be categorized based on their level of activity or contribution.
Lastly, MAGIC Group (MGs) is the basic training ground for future leaders moving to the higher level of ranks, the Ranking MAGIC Group (RMGs). This progression provides members with opportunities for growth, leadership development, and greater responsibilities within the organization, preparing them to take on more significant roles in the future.
Additional Metaphor:
The leaves, like the MAGIC Group (MG), come young, full of potential and vitality. As they grow, they become stronger, more resilient, and more committed—reaching their peak in maturity. When leaves mature, they are vibrant and full of life, symbolizing dedication and loyalty. Over time, as leaves age, they turn darker shades of brown, then to a darker brown or black, eventually falling to the ground. This natural cycle reflects the journey of members within the organization—from new, enthusiastic beginnings to mature, experienced contributors, and eventually, to seasoned members who may retire or step back, passing their wisdom and experience to the next generation.

Members of the MAGIC Group serve as auxiliary supporters and service providers, assisting in community outreach, public relations, and organizational activities. Who They Are in the Organization:
Members of the MAGIC Group are like the leaves of a mighty tree. These leaves are positioned close to where the flowers—representing the organization’s plans and programs—bloom, and where the fruits—symbolizing the projects—are borne. Just as leaves nourish and support the growth of a tree, the MG members nurture the organization’s initiatives through their support, skills, and dedication. Their proximity to the flowers and fruits signifies their vital role in helping the organization flourish, ensuring that new ideas blossom and successful projects bear fruit, contributing to the vitality and strength of the entire community. – GSM
