Engr Melliardine “GS MEL” G. Gamet, PEE, PMP
Engr. Melliardine “GS MEL” G. Gamet is a highly accomplished electrical engineer from Manila, Philippines, with a distinguished academic and professional career. From a young age, he excelled academically, passing top entrance exams and earning high honors in his studies. He obtained multiple electrical engineering licenses, culminating in his Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) license in 1999 with an impressive score.
He has more than 30 years of experience in engineering projects, including extensive work with Saudi Aramco since 1989. Engr. Gamet has been involved in many fields of engineering; he started as a Design Engineer (Specialist), then moved to the Inspection Department as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and later served as a Senior Project Engineer (SPE) in the Offshore Capital Projects Department (OCPD).
He served in various leadership roles within the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), both in the Philippines and abroad, notably in Saudi Arabia, where he led the successful expansion of the PGBI chapters, including establishing the largest overseas chapter in Jeddah. His career spans work at Meralco, Coca-Cola Bottlers in the Philippines, San Miguel Corporation, and international and offshore projects with Saudi Aramco.
As a prominent leader of PGBI, he served as National President/Chairman since 2018, advocating transparency, reform, and modernization of organizational processes, including digitization and logo evolution. Re-elected in July 2021, GS MEL is celebrated for his principles, resilience, and dedication, leaving a lasting legacy as a respected engineer, leader, and mentor.
