PGBI Chapters Launch Feeding Programs for School Children Across Various Regions

In a heartwarming effort to combat hunger and promote well-being among young Filipinos, several chapters of the Philippine GUARDIANS Brotherhood, Inc. (PGBI) have initiated and sustained feeding programs in chapters in different regions of the country. These programs, which are among PGBI’s signature activities, aim to provide nutritious meals to school children and the community, fostering a healthier and more hopeful future.
Siwawer Chapter of Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Region 1
The Siwawer Chapter of Vintar, Ilocos Norte, recently launched a weekly feeding activity at local schools. Volunteers and members prepared healthy, balanced meals to ensure that students start their day with the energy and nutrients necessary for learning. The program also includes nutritional education sessions, encouraging children to adopt healthier eating habits.
Magdalena Chapter of Tumauini, Isabela, Region 2
In Tumauini, Isabela, the Magdalena Chapter has partnered with local barangays to serve free meals in public places and community centers. Their initiative not only feeds children but also reaches out to out-of-school youth and community members, emphasizing the importance of nutrition in overall well-being. The program has received support from local officials and barangay health workers.
San Juan De Espana Chapter of San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Region 1
The San Juan De Espana Chapter in Ilocos Sur has been actively conducting feeding programs within schools and during community events. Their team ensures that the meals are nutritious and culturally appropriate, fostering a sense of community and care among the children. These efforts aim to reduce malnutrition and improve the academic performance of students.
Tablas Chapter of Romblon Province. Region 4B
The remote island province of Romblon has also seen the benefits of PGBI’s initiatives through the Tablas Chapter. They organize regular feeding sessions in schools and public spaces, providing not only food but also hygiene kits and health education. Their programs are vital in areas where access to nutritious food is limited.
Other PGBI Regions
Various other chapters in region 10 and beyond continue to serve their communities through similar feeding programs. These efforts are part of PGBI’s broader mission to nurture the Filipino youth and promote community resilience.
A Collective Move Toward a Brighter Future
The combined efforts of these chapters demonstrate a strong commitment to social responsibility and community development. By nourishing the bodies and minds of the young generation, PGBI chapters across the regions are sowing seeds of hope and fostering a culture of care and volunteerism.
As these programs grow and expand, they remind us that every meal served is a step toward a healthier, more empowered Philippines.
